The R is rolled

Scots roll their Rs like Indians do. "Rrright, let's go!" — feels natural for Hindi speakers.

Vowels are shorter

"Day" sounds like "deh". "No" sounds like "naw". Tighten your vowels.

CH sound from the throat

"Loch" uses the same sound as "khan" in Khan. Not "lock" like the English say.

They speak FAST

Don't panic. Just say "Sorry, can you repeat that slower?" Scots are friendly and will help.
