A relaxed day out from Edinburgh to Loch Leven Castle - the island fortress where Mary Queen of Scots was famously imprisoned and made her dramatic escape in 1568. About 1 hour of driving each way, with a full 4 hours at the loch to explore.

- Open summer only: April-September 10:00-16:30, October 10:00-15:00. Last boat is 1 hr before closing and capacity is limited, so book castle tickets ahead

Our vehicle seats up to 6 comfortably, with room for luggage. For larger groups, message us and we'll work out the best option.
Are attraction/entry tickets included in the tour price?
No - the tour price covers private transport, driving and guidance. Entry tickets (e.g. castles, boat crossings) are booked and paid separately, and we'll tell you the exact cost upfront.
